Case Notes
This case study involves a 52-year-old female patient who underwent a vertical mastopexy augmentation and subfascial breast implant exchange. She approached Plastic Surgery Consultants in need of a revision after having a breast augmentation done by a different plastic surgeon. Dr. Wassermann determined that the implants needed to be exchanged and that the desired aesthetic correction would be achieved with a mastopexy augmentation. The pre-operative condition showed noticeable sagging and asymmetry with a bra size of D. The surgical intervention employed round, moderate profile cohesive gel implants, each with a volume of 405cc. A lollipop incision technique was utilized for the lift, enhancing nipple-areola positioning relative to the inframammary folds. Post-operative images taken at 12 weeks demonstrate improved symmetry and elevation of the breasts while maintaining the original bra size. The contour enhancements are evident without altering the fundamental breast volume, achieving aesthetic adjustments through precise surgical techniques.
